Country Week (Secondary)

INFORMATION ON COUNTRY WEEK ARRANGEMENTS

WEEK 10 TERM 3 2024

Country Week is happening in 2024 and will take place in Week 10, Term 3.  Based on the availability of staff and bus numbers, we believe that we will be able to take approximately 30-40 students to participate in sporting events. Country Week is available to students in Year 7 – 10 and will be able to attend based on the following criteria:

1. Uniform compliance and satisfactory attendance,

2. Attitude and behaviour, based on semester one report and Term 3 progress report,

3. Participation in ALL THREE of our whole school sports carnivals,

4. No repeated transgressions from our School CRTR Policy, and

5. No internal or external suspensions, unless on a specific contract.

Students who meet the following criteria will receive a letter of invitation to attend Country Week 2023.

Team managers (teachers) will be allocated soon so that students can begin training in Term 2. The estimated cost will be $600.00. Students will have the choice of the following sports -

• Basketball (boys, girls, mixed)- Max 10      players
• Netball (girls)- Max 10 players
• Volleyball (mixed)- Max 10 players
• Football- TBC

ACCOMMODATION: Nautica Residences Hillary’s

DEPOSIT:

A deposit of $200 will be required to guarantee your child a spot and to confirm their attendance at Country Week 2024. A LOT of additional time outside of school hours goes into planning a week long camp which is why a non-refundable (unless approved by the principal) $200 deposit will be required by Friday 31st May (Week 7, Term 2)

Please sit down with your child/ren and have a discussion regarding Country Week and the costs associated with it. We understand it is a lot of money and will endeavour to organise fundraising where possible, however this may not eventuate.
